Can't find an answer from Flying Star

This is typical HDB unit type found in Singapore
Unit A & B: Period 6 build, Face (you) West. According to Flying Star, both units have 61 Door.

Year 2012, a good year for A as #8 arrives at door.
Year 2013, a bountiful year for A as #7 arrives at door.
No doubt when #8 meets a 61 door, good things will happen. But why when inauspicious #7 arrives at 61 door, it becomes a bountiful year for A? Is there anything wrong with Flying Star theory?
Unit B is not as lucky as A. And in 2013, B had an surgical operation. Note that both units have the same similar facing degree measured at the door(within ). The interior Feng Shui such as the stove and bed positions are exactly the same. Why is there such a difference? Some consultants accounts this to Xuan Kong Da Gua yao(). If it is true then why are we practising the Flying Star? If anyone have any answer to this case study, please email me: yxl9861@gmail.com or visit www.yxlfengshui.com
