Completing the XKLF on-site training program

Well done David for completing the Xuan Kong Liu Fa on-site training program in Singapore.
I am touched by his persistence and his sincerity to learn, that he makes a trip all the way from Texas USA to Singapore to attend the on-site training. With consistent practice, I am sure he will perfect the technique to 'See' Feng Shui. With this skill, he will acquire the edge to assess Feng Shui without being bothered by facing and the need to plot chart anymore. A smart phone compass and be observant is all it takes.

Prosper without Ci Xiong and Jin Long?

What you are seeing here is a quite well known eating place which has appeared in national newspaper and has also been featured numerous times by local bloggers over the years. Perhaps that could explain its popularity among students.

Recently, I happened to pass by the area and noted the length of queue it had drawn. I understand that the queue time can be as long as an hour. The business is good, no doubt about it.  But what surprised me is that the restaurant appears to be the centre of attraction within the estate while the other neighbouring eateries pale.

Old habits die hard and being curious, I managed to have a chat with a resident (old lady) who claimed to be the restaurant ex-employee. According to her, the restaurant was opened about 15years ago (probably 2000/2001). I spoke to a neighbor shop owner. He revealed to me that the restaurant only become prosperous about 7 years ago.
So what attracts people from all over the island to visit this eating place located in this lay back estate? Is it because of the good food or is it because of the recommendations posted by the bloggers?
Let us take a look at the restaurant’s Feng Shui. The restaurant (Facing is Gui 癸) sits on a sloping land. The front side is of higher ground and ‘water’ flows with the road leading towards the South West(SW) and East(E). Most practitioners will think that the Qi Kou (气口) is situated at the SW and E. They are correct but they are also wrong. This is because at these locations, the restaurant will never be this prosperous in Period 8. Could Liu Fa be wrong? What do you think?

Let me point out a few insights. Briefly, this is a typical example of environmental changes that result in the change of formation. In year 2003/04 the market/food centre on the right side of the eating place was rebuilt.

The open field at the left side of the restaurant across the road is used to be occupied by shops. They are demolished between year 2004 and 2008. Since then, activities in the estate appear to tone down but giving a boost to the restaurant business.

The restaurant could be receiving stagnant Qi coming from the South West and East, when it was opened in the year 2000/01. If you think they are the reasons for the restaurant modest business, I believe you are wrong. Since the slope of the roads remains till today, therefore the restaurant should not be prosperous at all. But this conjecture only suggests that the restaurant is not receiving Qi from the 2 locations.
Seeing Feng Shui is akin to a doctor diagnosing the cause of an ailment. If the cause is removed, the person becomes healthy again. So what is the ‘cause’ that is being removed during the transformation? I would not comment as I was not there during that time to 'See' the Ci Xiong. But one thing for sure, I was there recently to check out the site. The answer lies in Ci and Xiong only.

I must admit this site poses a certain level of challenge in recognizing the formation (even to a Liu Fa practitioner). One may say the business prospers because of the food bloggers and internet. Well, I do agree but the point is why would the first blogger wanted to visit this outlet and started posting about it? Next point is when did the blogger first visit the restaurant?  Apparently, the earliest blog about this restaurant that I can find through google is year 2008/09. By observing the events and the year of occurrence, don’t you see some form of correlation? That is Tai Sui Fa (太岁法) of Xuan Kong Liu Fa.

The facing of this site does not conform to Cheng Men Jue. Let us sit back and observe what happens after 2016….

Office Feng Shui

Few days ago I was at client premise helping to re-arrange her desk. Being curious at the table arrangement she asked me about the rationale and the benefits of such an arrangement. I found it difficult to explain without mentioning the principles of Yi 易理. To assure her, I quoted a few top people whose offices are having such a formation: Li KaShing, Bill Gates, Buffet Warren and Steve Jobs.

What do they have in common? Their desks are aligned to the left wall and located at the left corner of the room. Well they are also management people. In simple terms, I further explained that the backdrop provides support which may attract Nobleman while Left support implies the capability of the person. In generally this formation suits and helps to bring out the characteristics of a manager.
Does it mean that by having such a formation one will become top people or manager? My answer to her is No. There are other factors associated to such people which are a bit complicated to discuss. The effect of Feng Shui varies with each individual (因人而异).  For example what if such a formation is occupied by a researcher? What if the occupier is a student? Do you think such a formation is suitable for a trader and sales agent?

Next let us look at office of Jeff Bezos (CEO of Amazon). The desk is now aligned to the right wall instead. What characteristic does this formation brings out?

We all know that when comes to making work difficult for employees he is similar to Steve Jobs and Bill Gates. However, this guy is also well known for his explosive outbursts and often being referred as ‘nutters’ by his employees. Most of his outbursts come from his commitment to a better customer service. If these are really the case, I would say his office arrangement does expose such outburst tendencies. Do you see what I see? If one has a good understanding of 心印, the logic of the Feng Shui influence on offices can be easily deduced. Using the same logical principles one can also deduce (like as simple as mathematical induction in A-levels maths) the Feng Shui influences for bed room, study Room, living room etc.

Facing, Flying star & Liu Fa

It has been a long time since the last post. I have always been asked about the impact of facing and comments on door tilting art. However, I am always reluctant to talk about it as Liu Fa has a different opinion about it. Moreover, Liu Fa do not advocate door tilting which is a common practice by Da Gua and Flying star practitioners. Until recently I am pestered to explain the usage difference between Xuan Kong Liu Fa as compared to Xuan Kong Fei Xing. I thought it may save me the future naggings by posting a short commentary in this blog.

Xuan Kong Fei Xing emphasize on prosperous sitting and facing (旺山旺向). In practice, the star combo at the main door generally dictates the auspiciousness of the house.
What are the options if the current Period is not suitable?

Change the facing

Tilt the door to an auspicious facing with stars combo such as 68, 61 etc
Of course will need to conform to 64Hex and date selection will be involved(天地人)

Replace the Heaven’s Heart (换天心)

Renovation works to extent of replacing the entire roof-top

Find another auspicious house and move on

Xuan Kong Liu Fa emphasize on prosperous Mountain and Water (旺山水). In practice, the Feng Shui formation of a site selection dictates the auspiciousness of the house.
What are the options if the current Period expired?

Find another auspicious site and move on

Continue to stay as it is:
If the current site conform to Cheng Men Jue (the correct facing), one needs lower the expectation on prosperity but will be safe and peaceful
If the current site is able to receive secondary Qi of the arrived Period, one could replace the Heaven’s Heart. It is a solution but not necessary when the facing is correct. In principle it is still possible to effect the change of Qi to the arrived Period without replacing the Heaven’s Heart. Do you know how?
Facing do not determine the auspiciousness of the site.
But it does add points to the already auspicious site!
The correct facing depends on the Feng Shui formation (Ci Xiong 雌雄+ Jin Long 金龍 + Ai Xing挨星) of the site.
So what is Liu Fa approach to a house that is not able to receive Qi?
  • Internal Feng Shui (especially for units in high rise buildings)
  • Capture the prosperous Qi of the current Period (抢旺) by changing the door facing
Oops am I contradicting myself? First there is no formation to set the correct facing so what is the approach trying to capture? Secondly, how can facing be changed without door tilting?
The point here is what does ‘capture’ and ‘facing’ really mean to you?
If you know the answer you are a step closer to Xuan Kong Core Principle (心印).
However, this technique is a short term secondary measure. One should focus on site selection (Ci Xiong + Jin Long ~ 金母诀) which award 60% grading to your house.
If you are good in math or a shrewd businessman, you should know that 60% is a good head start in this imperfect world.
Well this is my 2 cents point of view.
